Gloria Estefan returns with her Brand New Album The Standards, which is an album of traditional Pop Standards taken from The Great American Songbook. The album has an official release date of September 10th 2013.

The Big Band Sound is nothing new to Gloria Estefan, it was pretty evidently there in The Miami Sound Machine, the group she resided, in the 1980's.

Having been involved in a Duets Album with Frank Sinatra and meeting up again with the Big Band Music Genre on the album she made in 1994, Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me; The Music seems to be embodied in Gloria's musical DNA. Gloria grew up listening to the songs of Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Henry Mancini and other famous crooners; as well as the Latino Singers. It is because of these past experiences that she is able to approach these songs vocally on this album, with the uttermost authenticity to the music genre.

A total of 50 songs were chosen for this Album, where were eventually whittled down to 16 songs, that made the final cut for this New Studio Album. Extra tracks were recorded for Deluxe Editions of this album. All the songs were chosen by Gloria Estefan and Shelly Berg, who is the Director Leader of the Miami School of Music. The Musicians chosen for this Album are musicians who have a talented dedication to this music genre. Most of the songs involved a Full Big Band Orchestra. It would have been easy for Gloria Estefan to just make a basic Big Band Era Album, but being who she is (and what she does) that ideal would have NEVER just been the case in this scenario.

She is able to utilise the impact of the Big Band Sound with Full Orchestrations, but done in her own impeccable and unique way. That is what makes this Album so special. So for example, She will take one of her favourite singles of all time El Dia Que Me Quieras and translate into English as How Long Has This Been Going On? She can take the George and Ira Gershwin Classic They Can't Take That Away From Me and inject an Afro-Cuban Waltz feel to the song. She takes the Brazilian Classic tune Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar  and gives the tune its first EVER English lyrics as It's You I'll Always Love. There are Spanish Lyrics to Charlie Chaplin's Smile, a duet she sings with Laura Pausini. This is a song still very much in the memory after being sung by Jermaine Jackson at Michael Jackson's Memorial Service in 2009.

This New Album has been produced by her Husband Emilio Estefan. The Album is being released on Sony Masterworks and The Crescent Moon Label.

First lead single from the Album How Long Has This Been Going On was officially released as a Single Download on July 9th 2013.

Gloria Estefan has scheduled a One Night Only Concert in London at the Royal Albert Hall, performing her new songs as well as her older hits in a unique and very special way on September 17th 2013. The PBS Channel (An American TV Channel) are going to be recording this concert.

Elton John will be releasing his 30th (My Gosh What A Number) Solo Album The Diving Board  on September 24th 2013. The Album again has been written by Bernie Taupin, with songs composed by Elton John.

The Album was recorded in Los Angeles with Producer T-Bone Burnett.

T-Bone Burnett suggested to Elton John that he return to the Piano, Bass and Drums format of his very early days and the result Elton John says is 'the most exciting record I've done in a long, long time' . The Diving Board Album was written in Two Days.

This Album marks the second time of an Elton John Solo Album release (since 1979's Victim Of Love Album), that Elton John is without ANY of his regular band members. Jay Bellerose, T-Bone Burnett, Keefus Ciancia and Raphael Saadiq are some of the musicians on this New Studio Album Release.

The Diving Board is released on Capitol and Mercury Records.

The Official First Single from the Album Home Again was released on June 25th 2013.
